The supervisor of the Court Liaison Unit is a Sergeant and reports
directly to the Uniform Bureau Adjutant. This unit serves as the
departments representative to the court system.
School Crossing Guard Unit
The supervisor of the School Crossing Guard Unit is also the Court Liaison
Unit supervisor. Personnel assigned to this unit work when school is
in session. The primary function of this unit is to ensure that
students arriving and leaving school by foot are able to safely access and
leave school property.
Ranger Unit
The Ranger Unit is located at 2245 Callaway Road. The supervisor of
the Ranger Unit is a Lieutenant who reports directly to the Uniform Bureau
Adjutant. The primary mission of the
Ranger Unit is the enforcement of state law and county ordinances on Cobb
County Park properties, and other installations and locations at the
direction of the Chief of Police.
Cobb Anti-Gang Enforcement (CAGE) Unit
The supervisor of the CAGE Unit is a Sergeant who reports directly to the
Lieutenant of the Ranger Unit. The purpose of the CAGE Unit is to
identify gangs, gang activity, and gang members in Cobb County. They
will conduct investigations of illegal activity conducted by gangs and
gang members, and pursue charges based upon gang related statutes.
The CAGE Unit will also serve in a community education role by educating
the public on gang activity in Cobb County and the Metro Atlanta area.
