The Permits Unit is located in the Headquarters Complex on North Marietta
Parkway. This unit is supervised by a Sergeant and reports directly
to the Lieutenant in the Adjutants Office. The
Permits Unit is
responsible for licensing and enforcement in any activity regulated by
Cobb County Ordinances, e.g. alcohol beverage sales, wrecker services,
taxi services, etc.
Community Education Office (Crime Prevention)
The Community Education Office is located in the Headquarters Complex on
North Marietta Parkway. Personnel of the Community Education Office
are sworn officers who report directly to the Lieutenant in the Adjutants
Office. The Community Education Office conducts crime prevention
seminars and training, and coordinates similar activities conducted by the
precincts and special unit.
Public Information Office (PIO)
The Public Information Office is located in the Headquarters Complex on
North Marietta Parkway. Personnel of the Public Information Office
are sworn officers who report directly to the Lieutenant in the Adjutants
Office. The Public Information Office is the primary point of
contact for the dissemination of information from the Department to the
media and general public.
