The Cobb County Police Department has 584 sworn officers and is responsible for the delivery of police service to a diverse population in excess of 600,000 citizens over a 340 square mile area.

(NEW PROGRAM) BUSINESS WATCH - This program is an adaptation of the Neighborhood Watch Program designed for stores in shopping malls and complexes. The Crime Prevention Unit helps the mall management train the tenants of the mall.

Special Alert

On August 1st, 2007 the Cobb County Police Department along with the Powder Springs Police Department initiated a Homicide investigation. The bodies of three women were discovered in their residence. They were murdered. Two juvenile males were critically injured but survived and are still hospitalized. The incident occurred at 4789 Country Cove Way Powder Springs Georgia. This is a residential area near Shipp Road and Florence Road. The Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in this case. Please contact the Crimes Against Persons Unit at 770-499-3945 with any information.  The deceased victims are pictured here. They are identified as Jane Kuria (age 45), Isabella Yvonne Wanjiku Kuria (age 19), and Annebel Wambui Kuria (age 16).
